A St. Thomas police officer is suspended after provincial police charged her with impaired driving.
Sarah Mooney was charged with impaired driving and her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer pulled over a vehicle on Sunday at 12:20 a.m. on Springfield Road near College Line in Malahide Township after receiving a traffic complaint about a suspected impaired driver, Elgin County. The driver was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment for further testing.
Mooney, a constable under the one-year probation period, was suspended with pay.
Mooney appeared in St. Thomas court on Nov. 26.
