A drunk driver reversed his vehicle down an alley at a high rate of speed, striking two responding police vehicles. Two police officers suffered minor injuries.
Coquitlam RCMP are asking for witnesses and video. They say the driver hit multiple vehicles on Cottonwood Avenue near Whiting Way in Coquitlam on Jan. 24.
The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
“We are extremely thankful that no one was seriously injured as a result of this erratic driving behaviour,” said Corporal Alexa Hodgins, Media Relations Officer for Coquitlam RCMP.
“As our investigation continues, we are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has video to contact the Coquitlam RCMP.”
Coquitlam RCMP are asking anyone who may have dash-cam, cellphone or home surveillance video in the area of Cottonwood Avenue between Whiting Way and Marshall Street in Coquitlam between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2024-1993.
