A 14-year-old female youth has been stabbed to death in Winnipeg Friday afternoon and police are asking the public for tips.
At approximately 1 p.m. on Dec. 15, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 200 block of Graham Avenue for the report of a female who had been stabbed. Central General and Foot Patrol members quickly arrived and located a female youth victim suffering from stab wounds.
Officers provided emergency medical care to the victim with the application of a chest seal before ambulance arrived. She was taken to hospital in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery but she died from her injuries.
The suspect(s) fled before police arrived. The Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation, and no arrest has been made.
