Winnipeg Police have arrested 46-year-old Anna Marie Hanska, of Winnipeg, and charged her with second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Binesi Kennedy.
Police say the suspect and the victim were not previously known to one another.
The murder occurred on Jan. 10 in the 100 block of Arrow Street in Winnipeg. Police had responded at approximately 7:20 p.m. An injured man was taken to hospital in critical condition and died of his injuries.
The Homicide Unit has been assigned and continues to investigate.
