High Level RCMP charged two men, Corey James Beaulieu, 25, and Tyrel Henry Chalifoux-Wolfe, 26, with trafficking cocaine and weapons-related offences
On Dec. 23, police stopped their vehicle in the High Level area and they recognized Beaulieu as a known offender who was out while on a court-ordered curfew.
Police searched the vehicle and Chalifoux-Wolfe was found to be in possession of a firearm. They also found a satchel containing multiple scales, as well as baggies, 102g of cocaine and $3,020 in the vehicle.
Beaulieu was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, six firearm-related offences, possession of proceeds of crime, and six counts of failing to comply with a release order.
Chalifoux-Wolfe was charged possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, six firearm-related offences, possession of proceeds of crime, and obstructing a police officer.
Beaulieu and Chalifoux-Wolfe were brought before a justice of the peace. Beaulieu was remanded into custody and is set to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level on Jan. 2, 2024. Chalifoux-Wolfe was released with conditions and will appear at the same court on Jan. 15, 2024.
