On April 29, at 9:40 p.m., Little Grand Rapids RCMP were notified by Pauingassi First Nation Safety Officer that they had responded to a stabbing in the community.
The victim, a 29-year-old man from the community, was located deceased at a residence. His death is being investigated as a homicide and Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services has taken carriage of the investigation.
At 11:23 pm, the suspect, a 20-year-old male from Pauingassi First Nation, was arrested.
Little Grand Rapids RCMP, along with RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
