he Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is renewing its appeal for information related to the 2023 Gibford Drive homicides. Despite an extensive investigation, community assistance remains essential to advancing the case.
At 10:21 p.m. on September 2, 2023, officers responded to reports of gunshots in the Infinity Convention Centre area on Gibford Drive, where a wedding was taking place.
Several people were injured in the shooting. Said Mohamed Ali, 26, and Abdishakur Abdi-Dahir, 29, both from Toronto, died as a result of their injuries.
Since the incident, investigators have followed up on all available leads, reviewed video footage, collected forensic evidence, and reached out to the community. Investigators have also spoken with witnesses who were willing to provide statements.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who has not yet spoken with the police and may have information that could assist with this investigation.
