Christopher Clark (42), a resident of Lac La Biche, was charged with sexual assault. He was released on Oct. 7, 2025 with conditions and is to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Lac La Biche on Nov. 17, 2025.
In June 2025, Lac La Biche RCMP were informed of allegations of sexual assault by a person in the Law Enforcement Training Program in Lac La Biche. The subsequent investigation revealed the offences took place in 2024 during a training program when the victim was a candidate in training.
The investigation was forwarded to the Alberta RCMP Eastern Alberta District General Investigation Unit (EAD GIS), who took carriage of the investigation, with assistance from Central Alberta District GIS, Southern Alberta District GIS, EAD Crime Reduction Unit and an Interview Assistance Team. It was discovered the suspect was the Director of the Law Enforcement Training Center, who was shortly thereafter removed from the position.
“This investigation was significant from a public interest perspective,” said Staff Sgt. James Morton, acting Operations Officer for Alberta RCMP EAD. “This investigation is demonstrative of our ability to conduct a lawful and proper investigation, liaise with the Crown and cooperate with partners to ensure a bias-free and trauma-informed approach.”
