On April 21, Lloydminster RCMP CRU were conducting proactive patrols in the community when they identified a stolen vehicle parked in the area of Park Manor. Two males fled on foot when police first engaged with them. After a brief foot chase, the two males were apprehended and upon search incidental to arrest police seized the stolen vehicle keys and suspected methamphetamine. During a search of the stolen vehicle police seized more illicit drugs, including suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, suspected morphine, unstamped cigarettes, Canadian currency, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Additionally, many weapons were seized by police including a billy club, machete, and numerous knives. Police are sharing a photograph of the seized items.
James Blohm, 37, a resident of Bashaw, is facing the following charges, including but not limited to:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking x2;
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and
- Obstructing a peace officer.
William Montana (41) of Meadow Lake, Sask., is facing the following charges, including but not limited to:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking x2;
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- Obstructing a peace officer x2; and
- Fail to comply with a probation order.
Blohm and Montana are both set to appear next in the Saskatchewan Provincial Court on April 27, in Lloydminster, Sask.
