A male suspect entered the Sidetraxx pub of Blackfalds Motor Inn carrying a handgun and bear spray.
BLACKFALDS, Alta., — Blackfalds RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying a male believed to be responsible for two separate armed robberies.
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:59 a.m., a male suspect entered the Sidetraxx pub of Blackfalds Motor Inn armed with a handgun and bear spray. He produced the handgun from his waistband and robbed the bartender of cash. He fled on foot westbound across East Avenue on Park Street with the money in a blue reusable Walmart grocery bag. The suspect wore a grey hoodie with a “New York” “7” graphic, dark pants, sunglasses, grey/blue Nike runners, a ballcap with a black/white brim and was carrying a grey and black backpack.
On May 10, at 11:05 a.m., a male suspect entered the Sidetraxx pub of Blackfalds Motor Inn carrying a handgun and bear spray. He pointed the handgun at staff and robbed them before fleeing on foot. The suspect discharged the bear spray when pursued outside by staff and was last seen crossing East Avenue westbound. The suspect wore sunglasses, gloves, a black face mask, black shoes, a dark grey hoodie, and grey sweatpants. The hoodie and sweatpants were worn inside out. He used a black reusable Co-op grocery bag to carry the stolen money.
