The West Shore RCMP Bike Patrol Unit has recovered more than $10,000 worth of stolen property following the execution of two search warrants at a residence in View Royal.
During the searches, officers seized a significant quantity of high-value construction equipment, including:
- Four spools of electrical conduit;
- One generator;
- One rammer;
- Numerous additional construction tools and equipment.
Investigators have since confirmed that the items originated from two separate thefts that occurred within the Capital Regional District. The recovered property has now been returned to its rightful owners. A 27-year-old man was arrested in relation to possession of stolen property and was later released on an Undertaking with an upcoming court date.
“These types of property crimes have a real and lasting impact on local businesses,” said Corporal Chris Joy, West Shore RCMP Bike Patrol Unit. “When essential equipment is stolen, it can halt operations, increase costs, and create hardship for business owners and workers. West Shore RCMP is committed to identifying those responsible and ensuring stolen property is recovered.”
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to property crime in the West Shore area is asked to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
