One man has died and two others were stabbed in a pair of bar fights in the city’s Côte-des-Neiges and Anjou districts
Around 2 a.m., several 911 reported two men were injured with a “sharp object” at a bar on Côte-des-Neiges Rd. near Barclay Ave.
One man, 36, was stabbed in his lower body but is expected to survive, say police. The second man, 48, was in critical condition with stab wounds to his upper body. He died, marking the department’s 25th homicide of the year.
Police say an argument escalated inside the bar and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. No arrests have been made.
The second incident was reported around 3:50 a.m. in the Anjou borough. A man, 24, was found on the ground on Des Ormeaux St. near Georges Ave., with stab wounds to his upper body. He was in critical condition.
