Following a year-long investigation, Calgary police have charged one man in relation to a fatal home invasion that occurred in January 2024 in the northwest community of Brentwood.
The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit made an arrest, and as a result, we have now charged Jarvais L. EISNOR, 44, of Calgary, with one count each of manslaughter, unlawful confinement, robbery, break and enter and two counts of aggravated assault in relation to the death of DAVIS and the two others who were injured.
EISNOR will next appear in court on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025.
At approximately 9:15 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, we were called to a residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Braden Crescent N.W., for reports of a home invasion. Upon arrival, police located a man deceased and two others injured inside the residence.
An autopsy was completed on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, confirming the identity of the victim as John Wayne DAVIS, 53.
Calgary Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate as we believe others might have been involved.
