On November 22, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m, the Resolute Bay RCMP received a request to check on the well being of a person residing at a residence.
When police arrived, they located a male and a deceased female. The male was arrested and taken into RCMP custody.
The Nunavut RCMP Major Crimes unit have charged Babah Kalluk (44 years old) with First degree murder, Section 235(1) C.C
Kalluk was flown to Iqaluit, Nunavut and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 7, 2025.
