The suspect should not be approached, say police
Edmonton Police Service (EPS) detectives are investigating a series of five separate incidents they believe were committed by the same suspect earlier this week.
Over the course of two days, Jan. 8 and 9, a male suspect committed two commercial robberies in the north and west end, a carjacking in Westmount, an assault at one west Edmonton bank and an attempted fraud at another.
The suspect is believed to be armed with a firearm and is described as a Black male 35 to 45 years of age standing approximately 6′ feet tall.

During one of the incidents, the suspect was observed driving a Green VW Jetta sedan.

Police believe the crime spree will continue, and that the suspect is still driving the Jetta, which may be borrowed or stolen.
The suspect should not be approached. Anyone who can identify this suspect or who believes they are the owner of the green Jetta is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
