Five individuals have been charged in relation to the ongoing shooting investigation from the weekend.
On Monday, September 1, 2025, members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section executed a search warrant on a vehicle seized as a result of the ongoing investigation.
The following items were seized from the vehicle:
- Loaded Glock 26 Gen 5 9mm handgun;
- Approximately 98.3 grams of suspected cocaine;
- A bottle containing 40 suspected oxycodone pills; and,
- Two (2) digital scales.
As a result of the investigation and search warrant the following people have been charged.
Liban Yousuf, 22, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Fail to comply with a release order;
- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate;
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm;
Additionally, Liban Yousuf has been charged by way of warrant of arrest for the following offences as he remains in custody:
- Fail to comply with a release order;
- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate;
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm;
- Occupy a motor vehicle with firearm etc.;
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition;
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking; and,
- Possession of a Schedule I substance.

He remains remanded into custody and is scheduled to reappear in London court on
September 5, 2025, in relation to all of the charges.
Mading Atat, 23, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate;
- Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc.; and,
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm.
He remains remanded into custody and is scheduled to reappear in London court on September
4, 2025, in relation to all of the charges.
Abraham Johnson, 21, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate;
- Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc.; and,
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm.
He remains remanded into custody and is scheduled to reappear in London court on September 5, 2025, in relation to all of the charges.
Noah Gerges, 21, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
- Fail to stop for police/pursuit;
- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate;
- Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc.; and,
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm.
He remains remanded into custody and is scheduled to reappear in London court on September 9, 2025, in relation to all of the charges.
Rebekah Dean, 25, of London has been charged with the following offences:

- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence and registration certificate; and,
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm.
They remain remanded into custody and are scheduled to reappear in London court on September 4, 2025, in relation to all of the charges.
Investigators continue to search for an additional suspect they believe is involved in the shooting.
Police are sharing the pictures of the accused in hopes that it will assist investigators with identifying the outstanding suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing, and investigators continue to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to this shooting or the individuals charged to contact the London Police Service.

LONDON, ON (August 31, 2025) – The London Police Service (LPS) is seeking the public’s assistance after members of the LPS Uniformed Division responded to a shooting in the downtown core.
On Sunday, August 31, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., police received multiple reports of possible gunshots in the area of John Street and Richmond Street.
Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a firearm being discharged.
Investigators reviewed video surveillance and identified a vehicle involved in the incident.
A short time later, police learned that an individual later identified as the victim in the shooting had been dropped off at a hospital by the identified vehicle with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle then fled the area.
With the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police this vehicle was located and stopped outside of the city.
As a result of the investigation, six suspects were arrested and remain in custody.
A suspect in the incident remains outstanding.
The London Police Service acknowledges any incident involving a firearm can create understandable community concern. The LPS remains fully committed to maintaining public safety and investigating all calls for service as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
No other injuries were reported and a firearm has been recovered.
The investigation remains ongoing, and investigators are asking anyone who may have information in relation to contact the London Police Service.
