An 18-year-old man in Maple Ridge, B. C., who was shot died on Jan. 25 from his injuries.
Ridge Meadows RCMP had responded to a report at about 2:40 on Jan. 20 of shots fired in the 22200-block of 123 Avenue, in Maple Ridge.
The man was found suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene of a collision. A short time later, police received a call of a vehicle on fire in the 20800-block of 123 Avenue, believed to be linked to the shooting. The Ridge Meadows RCMP Investigative Support Team (IST) and Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) attended the scene and took conduct of the investigation.
