Both Jeremy Lacorde and Leighton Haineault are known to carry weapons and frequent Fort McKay, Fort McMurray and Lac La Biche areas.
GREGOIRE LAKE RESERVE — On Jul. 9, at approximately 2:08 a.m. Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence in Gregoire Lake Reserve, south of Fort McMurray.
It was reported that two suspects entered a residence, assaulted the victim and pointed a firearm at them. The suspects made demands for the victim’s phone and money before fleeing the area on a painted black side by side. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries in the assault.
Police conducted extensive patrols of the area with Police Dog Services and RPAS however the suspects were not located. The subsequent investigation revealed the identity of the suspects. Police have obtained arrest warrants.
Jeremy Lacorde, a 35-year-old male resident of Fort McMurray, is facing charges:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Assault
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Two counts Theft under $5,000
- Fail to comply with release order
Leighton Haineault, a 35-year-old male resident of Fort McMurray, is facing charges:
- Robbery with a firearm – accessory after the fact
- Two counts Fail to comply with probation order


Both Lacorde and Haineault are still at large, known to carry weapons and frequent Fort McKay, Fort McMurray and Lac La Biche areas. RCMP warn the public to not approach the suspects.
