Manitoba RCMP made an ex parte application to a Provincial Judge to publish information that identifies a youth wanted for second-degree murder.
RCMP say the application was approved as there’s reason to believe that the young person may be a danger to others and that the publication of information is necessary to assist in apprehending the young person.
On June 9, officers from the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU) and Thompson General Investigative Section (GIS), located and arrested 19-year-old Eternity Chastelaine and 24-year-old Marshall Merasty without incident.
Both accused remain in police custody and will be remanded for a court appearance on June 10.
RCMP continue to search for 17-year-old Khellen Kirkness, of Thompson, who has been charged with second-degree murder.
The RCMP are requesting anyone with information on the whereabouts of Khellen Kirkness to call the Thompson RCMP Detachment at 204-677-6909/6911, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
