On March 21, Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a report of shots being fired at a hotel in Rocky Mountain House. Upon arrival, RCMP determined that a suspect had fired 5 shots at a mirror in a hotel room. These bullets passed though the wall and into the hallway.
Through investigation officers identified a suspect who was on parole, and quickly issued an arrest warrant. The suspect turned himself into police the next day.
Jonathan Bejo, 34, has been charged with recklessly discharging a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Bejo was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for April 1, 2026, at the Alberta Court Justice in Rocky Mountain House.
Additionally, Bejo’s parole was suspended.
