Calgary police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who is believed to have sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl on a Calgary Transit bus last month.
On Sunday, May 25, 2025, between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., the victim, and two additional members of her family boarded a Calgary Transit bus. At the same time, an unknown man also boarded the bus. The victim and the man were seated next to each other during the trip.
Sometime during the bus ride, it is believed the suspect inappropriately touched the victim, who later disclosed the incident to a trusted adult at her school, who then reported the incident to police.
Calgary police Child Abuse Unit launched an investigation and after following all investigative leads, are now turning to the public in hopes of identifying the suspect.
He is described as approximately 30 to 35 years old, with a small amount of facial hair and a bald head.
He was last seen wearing a navy-blue jacket, a white patterned shirt, and jeans. The suspect is believed to frequent the Calgary Transit system.
The victim is receiving support from the LUNA Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.
