Evansburg RCMP say a 14-day-old infant has died after being bitten by a dog at a home in the area of Entwistle, Alta.
On Feb. 16, 2025, Evansburg RCMP responded to assist Alberta Health Services Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the home where the baby was bit.
It resulted in a serious life-threatening injury.
RCMP arrived to the scene and assisted with the landing of STARS, who transported the infant to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.
Despite best efforts from medical professionals, the infant has been declared deceased.
The dog has been surrendered and RCMP are continuing to investigate.
