A 500-pound stuffed polar bear was stolen from Lily Lake Resort in Sturgeon County and police are asking public’s help.
On Jan. 22, Redwater RCMP received a report of a break and enter and theft of the taxidermy polar bear at the Lily Lake Resort on Lily Lake Road, in Sturgeon County.
The resort had a similar occurrence back in August 2023, where two taxidermy racoons were stolen, say police. The estimate cost of these taxidermy animals is $35,000.
