Four people have been arrested in the murder of Tara Miller, 37, of Calgary. Her body was found along Highway 522 and 128 Street near Okotoks on March 30, 2023.
On Jan. 18, 2024, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, assisted by the Calgary Police Service and the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, arrested four people.
Gurpreet Gill, 30, of Calgary, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and using a firearm in an indictable offence. He was remanded in custody and appeared in Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on Jan. 22.
Greg Schuster, 30, of Calgary, has been charged with manslaughter, aggravated assault, and accessory. He was remanded in custody and appears in Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on Feb. 1.
Jared Burke, 24, of Wheatland County, has been charged with manslaughter, aggravated assault, and using a firearm in an indictable offence. Burke was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on Jan. 25.
Shyana Popplestone, 25, of Calgary, has been charged with manslaughter. Popplestone was remanded in custody and appears in Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on Jan. 26.
