An Ottawa man convicted of numerous firearms-related offences is wanted by Toronto Police for removing his ankle monitor.
On Feb. 17, 2023, Kuot Akoi was charged but released on bail from custody with conditions to wear the device. The 30-year-old was recently convicted of the charges and was to turn himself in to serve his sentence but instead he removed his GPS Ankle Monitoring Device.
The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted for removing his court ordered GPS Ankle Monitoring Device.
Kuot Akoi, 30, of Ottawa, is wanted for fail to Comply with Release Order.
He is described as 5’11”, with a thin build and has short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and burgundy pants.
