MONTREAL LAKE CREE NATION, Sask., — Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) is asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
Police have issued a warrant for 19-year-old Trent Thomas John Bird on a charge of manslaughter.
RCMP say this charge was laid on June 2, following the murder of 24-year-old Steven Beatty on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
Bird is described as about 5-foot-8 and 110 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo on his right calf with “420” a rocket ship and a star.
Bird is known to travel to the Prince Albert area, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit continue to investigate.
