Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in a shooting investigation.
On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at approximately 9:05 p.m., officers responded to a Shooting call in the Weston Road and Albion Road area.
It is alleged that:
- the suspect approached the victim while in possession of a firearm
- the suspect fired multiple rounds towards the victim
- the suspect fled the scene
- the victim, a 38-year-old man sustained several gunshot wounds
- He was transported to hospital and was treated for life-threatening injuries
Through investigation, a suspect was identified.
Matthew Scott, 46, of Toronto is wanted for:
- Attempt murder
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- three counts of Possession of a firearm contrary to an order
Matthew is described as 6’2″, 230 lbs, with black/grey short receding hair and wears eyeglasses. An image has been released.
