A $100,000 reward for his arrest was offered

LANGLEY, B.C., — One of Canada’s most wanted fugitives has been arrested in British Columbia in connection with the fatal shooting of a Manitoba soccer player two years ago.
Tresor Horimbere, 24, was arrested in Langley, B.C., on July 30, according to Winnipeg police.
Officers from Manitoba travelled to Langley to arrest Horimbere and take him back to Winnipeg on Monday, where he was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killing of Mohamed Yusuf Abdullahi, 22, on July 13, 2024.
Horimbere has been on Canada’s Top 25 most wanted list through the BOLO program since October 2025. A $100,000 reward for his arrest was offered through the program.
Abdullahi was shot in the parking lot of the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex in Winnipeg before being taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
Norbert Kipala then 27, was also charged in connection with Abdullahi’s murder. He was arrested on Feb. 5, 2025, at the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre, where he was already in custody on an unrelated matter, and charged with first-degree murder
