A 58-year-old Fort Saskatchewan man died in a collision on the QEII Friday because of poor driving conditions.
Early in the morning on Dec. 15, police responded to multiple collisions between Olds and Didsbury on the QEII. Bad road conditions were also reported from Airdrie to Red Deer with numerous collisions.
Alberta RCMP say there were multiple collisions on the highway between Calgary and Edmonton and at one point the highway was closed near Olds and a tow ban was put in place.

Friday afternoon, Three Hills RCMP advised of poor driving conditions in their detachment area, including Kneehill County and Red Deer County. RCMP in that area were responding to many collisions and had advised motorists to stay off the roads.
