Regina police responded to a call about an injured man in the 3100 block of 5th Avenue at around 1:15 a.m on April 13. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from serious injuries. They began life-saving efforts, which continued until EMS arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The area was secured, and the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service were brought in to assist with the investigation.
Authorities have since confirmed the death is being treated as a homicide. The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Myles Anderson of Regina.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with surveillance footage from the surrounding area—between 3rd Avenue and 6th Avenue, and Athol Street to Robinson Street—to come forward.
