Prince Albert RCMP are asking the public for help locating a man wanted in connection with a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Little Red River.
On December 10 at approximately 8:30 p.m., police received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian. Officers and EMS responded and found an injured adult female. She was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening.
Police investigation determined an altercation occurred between the female victim and an adult male in a pickup truck. The female was injured by the truck when the driver fled the scene.
The driver has been identified as 34-year-old Jack Sanderson from Sturgeon Lake First Nation. He has not been located and is now wanted by police. Sanderson is charged with aggravated assault, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failing to stop after an accident, and two counts of operation of a conveyance while prohibited.
Sanderson is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 172 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. He has a geometric design tattoo on his right forearm and a barbed wire tattoo on his left arm. Police believe he may be driving an older model, red Dodge pickup truck.
Prince Albert RCMP are asking the public to report any sightings or information on his location. Police warn the public not to approach him if seen. Information should be reported to local police at 310-RCMP or anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers. The investigation continues.
