Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT) seized over 3.9 kilograms of cocaine, 4.8 kilograms of methamphetamine, and six firearms during a drug trafficking investigation in central Saskatchewan.
On December 9, 2025, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert CRT and Prince Albert Police Service CRT – with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team – executed a search warrant at a residence in Peesane, SK as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
During the search warrant execution, officers located and seized 3.9 kilograms of cocaine, 4.8 kilograms of methamphetamine, a loaded handgun, two sawed-off firearms, a semi-automatic long gun, an assault-style firearm, ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and $50,000 in cash.
Subsequently, officers with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert CRT and Prince Albert Police Service CRT arrested a male at a business on 2nd Avenue West in Prince Albert. Officers searched the male’s vehicle and found an additional 183 grams of crack cocaine, 93 grams of cocaine, 56 grams of methylenedioxyamphetamine (also called ecstasy), 21 grams of methamphetamine, and a second loaded handgun. The items were seized by police.
As a result of continued investigation, 29-year-old Triston Lundgren from Tisdale is charged with:
- one count, careless use of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
- six counts, unsafe storage of a firearm, Section 86(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle, Section 94(1), Criminal Code;
- three counts, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code;
- five counts, possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without license/registration, Section 95(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of a firearm with tampered serial number, Section 108(1)(b), Criminal Code;
- four counts, weapons possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methylenedioxyamphetamine, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
