RED DEER COUNTY, Alta. – The Alberta RCMP is issuing an update to the public notification released on June 3, 2026, regarding the release of high-risk offender Kyle Soloway.
In the interest of public safety, the Alberta RCMP High Risk Offender Program (HROP) applied for and obtained a judicial order to impose additional conditions on Soloway. These conditions include electronic monitoring. All previously imposed conditions remain in effect.
HROP, in partnership with local RCMP detachments and law enforcement partners, monitors offenders assessed as posing a high-risk of sexual or violent reoffending. Where appropriate, HROP seeks court-imposed conditions for offenders who have completed their custodial sentences.
Court-imposed conditions are tailored to the offender’s risk profile and are intended to reduce the likelihood of reoffending and enhance public safety. Conditions may include electronic monitoring, prohibitions on drugs and alcohol, treatment and counselling, curfews, travel restrictions, and any other measures deemed necessary to mitigate risk.
