Pam Jarvis (GoFundMe)
On Dec. 16, 2025, Merritt RCMP received a call from BC Emergency Health Services requesting police assistance at a disturbance. RCMP members arrived at the house with paramedics to find Pamela Jarvis, 45, suffering from significant injuries. Pamela Jarvis was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The suspect fled the residence prior to police arrival but was subsequently located and arrested and he remains in custody. Investigators can confirm that this was an isolated incident and that the individuals involved were known to one another.
The BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) was engaged and assumed conduct of the investigation into Pamela’s death.
On December 17, 2025, 49-year-old Christopher Bernard JARVIS was charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, Pamela JARVIS.
Christopher JARVIS appeared before a judge and has been held over for a court appearance on January 6, 2026.
“The securing of charge approval was the result of a quick response from Merritt RCMP Front Line Officers and the ongoing investigation involving investigators from the Southeast District Major Crime Unit, BC RCMP Forensic Identification Services, RCMP Police Dog Services and the Merritt RCMP” said SED MCU Unit Commander, Staff Sergeant Jason Smart.
A GoFundMe for the family says:
“6 children woke up today in a different reality then the one before. One now in the limelight of an entire town and in the social media eyes of thousands more. Knowing their worst pain. Their complete loss. Their innocent love of one parent – who stole their world, thier mother from them – in an unimaginable way…..and having only their youth to navigate them through the emotions and reality of that… so much more alone than “kids” should be.
“I, like so many of you, spent the day reeling for each one of them and the heart break that really only they will REALLY feel…. so multiple all your feelings exponentially.
“Their mom stolen from them and thier dad to pay the price.
“6 young adults/youth left to raise each other.
“This page can ease that burden
“This page can say we see you.
“We feel your heartbreak.
“This page can give them a bit of security, showing that we as a community (and beyond) have them….in any small or big way you can afford.
“Dont just let them feel watched, read about and whispered around. Let them feel loved and supported – like Pam did for each of them.
“If you know this family, you know their bond was their biggest riches….. dont let the stress of life take away or burden what they have left of that. X
“For Pam, her children were her everything. Every child, every sport, every moment. Please help be the family they need right now and beyond, for her.
“We are all holding your babies Pam and grieving for them and you x
“Added note: Today has been amazing. The goal is $20,000 per kid between all the efforts. Donation boxes, go fund me, BP fundraising. Its not huge per child. But it is stability financially for them for a bit to finish school and become adults… fully. So please keep sharing…and THANK YOU from each one of them x”
