At approximately 6 p.m. on Oct. 9, Regina police were dispatched to a call for service on the 1500 block of Cameron Street. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 27 year-old male in an alley west of Cameron Street who was the victim of a gunshot wound.
Officers secured the area and requested the additional resources of the Regina Police Service Major Crime Unit, the Regina Police Service Forensic Identification Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.
As a result of the investigation, a 26 year-old male was arrested and charged.
Twenty-six year-old Sky Starr-Goforth is charged with first-degree murder.
Starr-Goforth will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court Oct. 14, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
Police didn’t release the victim’s name. This is the ninth homicide in Regina in 2025.
