Alberta Community Response Team seize quantity of Fentanyl, Cocaine and Firearm
Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Service, conclude a drug trafficking investigation.
On Aug. 19, 2025, the Alberta Community Response Team executed a search warrant on a hotel room of the Aladdin Motel on 111 Avenue in Edmonton. As a result of the search warrant, police arrested Hocine Sadji (34), a resident of Edmonton, Nasro Abdulkadir (21), a resident of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Mohamed Brari (34), a resident of Edmonton.
As a result of the investigation, police located and seized:
- 36 grams of Fentanyl;
- 9 grams of Cocaine;
- Ammunition;
- Loaded 9mm Glock handgun;
- Scales;
- $1,655 Canadian currency; and
- Numerous cell phones.
Hocine Sadji, Mohamed Brari, and Nasro Abdulkadir are jointly charged with:
- Two Counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking;
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000;
- Possess a Firearm without a license;
- Possess a restricted firearm;
- Possess a firearm in a careless manner.
Mohamed Brari and Nasro Abdulkadir are additionally charged jointly with:
- Two counts of Possess a firearm while prohibited from doing so.
Hocine Sadji, Mohamed Brari, and Nasro Abdulkadir were held for a bail hearing and all were remanded into custody. They are to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Edmonton on Aug. 28, 2025.
