Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking one suspect and appealing for witnesses following a shooting in the City of Markham.
On Saturday, November 30, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police attended a commercial plaza in the area of Bullock Drive and Hawkridge Avenue for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, an adult male was located inside a business suffering from a gunshot wound and transported to a trauma centre.
The victim is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
A dark grey sedan, believed to be a Honda Accord, stopped at the front of the premise and the driver was observed to have fired multiple rounds from within the vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene and was last seen driving westbound on Bullock Drive.

Investigators are seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone who may have captured dashcam video on the roadways at that time. Anyone who has not yet spoken to police is asked to please come forward.
Investigators believe this to be a targeted incident and the investigation is ongoing.
