The sentencing hearing for two men Mikhail Kloubakov and Hicham Moustaine, charged with pimping, will proceed June 12, 13, and 14, ruled the Court of King’s Bench in Calgary.
Kloubakov and Moustaine had also asked that their sentencing be adjourned until their appeal at the Supreme Court of Canada is heard. The Alberta Court of Appeal had reinstated their convictions and referred their charges to the King’s Bench Court for sentencing. Their convictions had been previously stayed.
In February 2020, Calgary police charged five men, including Kloubakov and Moustaine, with human trafficking. Vincent-Olivier Marcheterre and Antoni Proietti have been convicted of human trafficking.

Police say Marcheterre and Proietti ran the escort business that started in Quebec. The two men moved some of the women to Alberta where they could charge higher fees for their services, court heard.
Kloubakov and Moustaine had acted as Calgary-based drivers for the women.
In June 2021, Dube-Cavalli pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 28-months. He was charged with material benefit from sexual service, advertising sexual services, trafficking persons under the age of 18, and material benefit of trafficking
