A 58-year-old woman, Glenda Piche, of La Loche, Sask., has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 42-year-old woman.
On Feb. 15, at approximately 4:45 p.m., La Loche RCMP were advised by EMS of an altercation at a residence that resulted in the hospitalization of a 42-year-old female.
On Feb. 16, the 42-year-old woman succumbed died in hospital in Saskatoon. Her next of kin have been notified and victims services offered to the family.
Saskatchewan Major Crimes has taken carriage of the investigation.
Piche was remanded into custody and will appear in court in La Loche on Feb. 20.
