A train has derailed near Highway 873 (7 street East) and Range Road 142 South of Brooks. About 17 cars carrying 34 C-cans with various products left the tracks.
No injuries have been reported, say Brooks RCMP.
Police responded to the derailment at about 4:34 p.m. on Feb. 5.
RCMP remain on scene redirecting traffic in the area. CP police will take carriage of the investigation once they arrive.
Road closures between Highway 1A and 7 street East and Highway 1A and Range Road 142 are expected to be in place for some time.
