Man, 62, stabbed to death in Durham, police arrest one man and search for another

Durham Police say Steven Turgeon, 62, of Oshawa, died as a result of a stabbing.

Tyler Stephens, 32, from Clarington is charged with second-degree murder. Police are still searching for a second suspect.

On Jan. 22, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members from Central East Division were called to the area of Dean Avenue and Ritson Road South in Oshawa for reports of a disturbance.  Officers arrived on scene and located a 62-year-old male outside the residence suffering from obvious signs of trauma.  He was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Two suspects fled the area on foot.  Police located one of the suspects a short distance away and took him into custody without incident.
