Clara Blake
The Northwest Territories RCMP’s Major Crime Unit upgraded charges against Randall Blake, 27, to manslaughter in the death of Clara Blake, 22.
Clara’s body was found on Dec. 23, 2023, during a fire scene examination. She had been reported missing.
Blake remains in custody.
On Dec. 15, 2023, RCMP officers in Fort McPherson were called to a residence to respond to a house fire. An initial investigation at that time supported that the fire was the result of an arson. Randall Blake was arrested and charged with arson at the time.
On December 20th, 2023, human remains were located during the fire scene examination and later identified as belonging to Clara Blake. After additional investigation by the Fort McPherson Detachment and the Major Crime Unit, Randall Blake has been charged with one count of manslaughter. Blake remains in custody pending a future court date.
