Dustin Lee Fialkowski, 36, of Lloydminster, faces numerous firearms and assault charges after two females were held against their will in a rural area outside of Lloydminster.
On Jan. 15, at about 1:40 a.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to a disturbance call on Range Road 12. When they arrived, the suspect was identified as Fialkowski.
Police say their initial investigation revealed that the Fialkowski had used a weapon to hold the two females against their will.
A search warrant was obtained for the home and police seized rifles, handguns, prohibited weapons and devices, ammunition, and drugs.
Fialkowski was charged with forcible confinement, pointing a firearm, using a firearm in a crime, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, two counts each of possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a prohibited device, 11 counts of unsafe storage of firearms, and possession of body armor when unauthorized.
Fialkowski was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. He is to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster on Feb. 6, 2024.
