She was stopped and arrested for drug offences and breaching release conditions
A woman driving too slow caught the attention of Virden RCMP on Jan. 3.
At about 11:45 p.m. officers were patrolling on Highway 21 in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation when they saw a vehicle going well under the speed limit so a traffic stop was conducted.
The driver of the vehicle, a 40-year-old woman from the community, was found to be breaching her curfew conditions and arrested.
The 35-year-old male passenger, also from the community, had a warrant and was also arrested.
When police searched the vehicle, they found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a rifle with ammunition.
They now face drug-related charges. The driver is also facing firearm charges.
They were both released with a future court date.
