An Amazon tractor trailer was destroyed by fire Dec. 30 in Ottawa.
Firefighters responded at about 6:18 a.m. to the Amazon warehouse on Legacy Road early Saturday morning after an Amazon employee called 911 to report that the tractor trailer they were using was on fire with a 26ft trailer attached to it and that the trailer was attached to the warehouse.
Firefighters began a fast attack and advanced multiple hose lines to protect the other trailers that were in close proximity.
The fire was brought under control at 06:42. Firefighters cut a hole in the trailer to confirm there was no extension and to extinguish any hot spots. Fire crews went inside the warehouse and confirmed they prevented any smoke from entering.
There were no reported injuries.
