Cornell D’or, a 27-year-old John D’Or Prairie resident, was sentenced to 913 days after he pleaded guilty on Aug. 21, to using a firearm in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, and possession of a firearm contrary to an order.
D’or was given 410 days of credit for time served.
The charges stemmed from a June 27, 2024, incident. RCMP say that at approximately 12 p.m., members of the High Level RCMP responded to reports of multiple shots-fired, in what was later determined to be a targeted shooting. High Level RCMP located the suspect vehicle attempting to flee the area of High Level and were able to stop and arrest a suspect.
A search of the vehicle incidental to arrest revealed a loaded prohibited firearm, 9mm ammunition, cocaine, and an additional prohibited weapon.
