Kings District RCMP are investigating a residential fire that occurred on January 30 in Farmington and that left one man dead; the fire is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
On January 30, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. St. Peters Fire Department and Kings District RCMP responded to a report of a fire at a residence in Farmington. Upon arrival the building was completely engulfed in flames. Human remains of one man were located after the fire was extinguished. This investigation is ongoing but is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
The provincial Fire Marshal, St. Peters Fire Department and the Provincial Coroner all responded. Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this difficult time.
