The Special Victims Section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division has charged a man with sexual assault following an incident in Lawrencetown.
Police say Manjeet Singh Pandher, 46, from Bedford, Nova Scotia, used Facebook Dating to communicate with a woman who agreed to meet with him at a restaurant on Forest Hills Parkway in Cole Harbour. The woman later entered the man’s Dodge Ram and was driven to a location in Lawrencetown, where the man sexually assaulted her.
On Feb. 23, Pandher attended the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division office, at the investigator’s request, where he was safely arrested.
He was later released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on April 2.
Police believe there may be other victims in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
