A video of two masked men armed with machetes approaching vehicles and walking Toronto’s streets is going viral on social media with more than 167 thousand views. There doesn’t seem to be any media or police reports about the alleged incident, which has caused outrage on X (formerly Twitter).
Financial Markets Warrior posted on X: “Wonder why is this not all over the local news at least, and why the mayor of this inclusive city, chief of police and even Ford are not issuing any comments about what’s happening in their areas of governance.”
Habbernack posted, “What’s happenning to TO? LEFTISM”
William Grier said, “No surprise. What else do expect from this government.”
Chetra Peo posted, “If I was there, they would be laid on the ground with their faces exposed! People like that should not be allowed to walk freely on the streets with machete in their hands! They should be locked up in jail…”
Canadian We are posted, “The combination of having Trudeau as the PM and Chow as the mayor. It’s only the beginning of Toronto going downhill.”
On X Sirwhocares said, “This has to be a staged video those guys paying no attention to the guy filming them 30 feet away on a quite street nobody walking and they are just pacing the cars. I say fake”
Toronto Police have been tagged in the video with a user saying:
- @TPSOperations once again fails to do their job
- @TorontoPolice sees nothing wrong here.
The post seems to have originated from X user @WeAreCanProud.
The same video posted on Reddit, however, has a comment saying that it’s fake.
