A senior couple from Wapske, N.B., have been arrested following a seizure of drugs and firearms.
On Dec. 12, 2023, at approximately 8 a.m., members of the Western Valley Region and Perth-Andover RCMP detachments executed a search warrant at a residence on Route 390 in Wapske, in connection with an ongoing investigation.
During the search, police seized firearms, quantities of what is believed to be methamphetamine and hydromorphone, and stolen property.
The 60-year-old man, Patrick Tatlock, and a 55-year-old woman were arrested at the scene. She was later released, and is scheduled to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court on March 26, 2024.
Tatlock appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court on Dec. 13. He was remanded in custody until his next appearance on Jan. 2, 2024.
Tatlock is charged with two counts each of possession of a weapon contrary to an order, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a vehicle with an altered VIN. He is also charged with unsafe storage of firearms.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
